Veterinary Consent
Myotherapy treatment can only be used if consent has been given by your dog’s vet. It is my (Amy Cameron) responsibility to ensure this is received before treating your dog, therefore I will contact your vet directly for their consent.

It is your responsibility to provide me with the correct and necessary details, which includes your vet's name, practice name, address and contact details, as well as your registered contact information. If your vet needs to see your dog before consenting, it is your responsibility to arrange this with them.

Before the Appointment
It is important that you read and fully understand the ‘Pre-Treatment and Post-Treatment Information’ before your dog’s first Myotherapy treatment and where necessary revisit the information before each following appointment. It is your responsibility to act upon the information provided in the Pre-Treatment section of this document to ensure your dog is healthy and ready for Myotherapy treatment.

Key Pre-Treatment Information

  • Your vet has given consent.

  • Your dog is well enough for Myotherapy treatment, i.e. has not been sick or had any recent change in their health/condition.

  • Your dog is not fed for 2 hours before the appointment

  • Your dog is not excessively exercised before treatment

  • Your dog has had the opportunity to go to the toilet

  • No topical treatments have been used within 7 days of the treatment

Right to Refuse Treatment
I (Amy Cameron) reserve the right to refuse treatment to your dog in situations where I feel that Myotherapy is not appropriate for your dog at the time, including situations where:

  • Your dog has any contraindications

  • Your dog or other household dogs are showing signs of having a contagious infection/disease

  • Your dog (bitch) is in season

  • Your dog is extremely nervous or aggressive

    • Such cases may require longer/more appointments (not necessarily providing treatment) to improve your dog’s confidence

I will also not provide treatment to your dog if I feel uncomfortable in your home, for example if:

  • I am verbally or physically abused by you or any member of the household or if I feel threatened or unsafe in your house

  • Purposeful damage is done to my property by you or any other member of the household

I (Amy Cameron) also reserve the right to stop treatment at any time to safeguard the wellbeing of you, other people in the house, your dog or myself.

Disclosure of Contraindications
It is your responsibility to inform me of any of the listed conditions/situations or other issues that may contraindicate the use of Myotherapy treatment before your dog’s appointment. If you are unsure whether your dog has any other issues that may contraindicate Myotherapy, it is best to contact me for further advice.

Non-Disclosure of Contraindications
